3. What is BMI Prime?
BMI Prime is the ratio of an individual's actual BMI to the upper limit of normal BMI ($25.0\text{ kg/m}^2$): $\text{BMI Prime} = \frac{\text{BMI}}{25}$. A BMI Prime under $1.0$ indicates normal or lower body weight, while values above $1.0$ quantify the exact percentage excess weight above the clinical upper boundary (e.g. a BMI Prime of $1.15$ means 15% above optimal weight).
